Mets Citi Field Patch Turns Nation's Sportswriters Into Fashion Commentators

The patch is stupid.  Let's not sugar coat things.  But that's where this whole thing should end.  I had considered ranting about this here but chose not to in order to give it as little play as possible, but I noticed today that my other personality joined in on the Dominos act, so I feel I have no choice.  It's a retarded patch, and it DOES look like the Dominos logo, so I can't blame him, but people seem to think that Mets fans should be outraged by this, which I just can't understand.  I'm outraged by the Giants.  I'm outraged by the Rangers' inexplicable inability to score goals.  I'm outraged by hipsters.  Now that we've put things into perspective...
Everywhere I look I see people (Sportswriters, Mets fans, Yankees fans, Oklahoma City Thunder fans (I'm not going to lie, I had to google that to see if it was an actual team name and I didn't just make it up)) writing stories about how stupid the Mets patch is, and how it's an outrage that the Mets can't come up with a better patch.  I've gotta be honest, I don't even know how this works - does the Mets organization develop this patch?  Or Citi?  I don't even know, nor do I care - the whole thing is absolutely retarded.
What am I concerned about this morning?
That the Braves offered Derek Lowe a 4 year, $60M dollar deal, and I'm more concerned that the Mets will try to match it.  I don't think Lowe is worth that kind of money.  In another market, maybe, but not this one.
That the Mets offered Perez a deal.
That our pitching staff is currently Johan Maine Pelfrey Redding and Niese.  Not to knock Niese, who I have high hopes for eventually, but we really need another guy here.  Let's find one.
What am I concerned about with regard to Citi Field?
How will it play?  Is it going to be a hitters park or a pitchers park?  Dimensions say pitchers park (which I like) but who knows how the wind will blow?  Will Reyes live in the gaps and hit triples and ITP home runs?  Will Johan have a 0.5 ERA and 30 wins?  Who knows?  I'm anxious to find out.
What am I concerned about for opening day?
The two things above:  Who will be wearing the uniform and how will the stadium play.  That's it.  I don't give two flying fucks if they're wearing feather boas around their necks.
Again, is the patch stupid?  Yes.  Does it look like a Dominos' logo?  Absolutely.  Are all patches (and the patch concept) stupid?  I hate to say it, but I think so.  I know that old school baseball people are going to yell at me and tell me that patches are a part of the history of baseball and are a heritage thing.  Eh, I'm not that concerned.  I don't think that anyone is going to look back at Citi Field's first season and say "man, what a season, what a park... but that patch.  Ugh."
